Nerf-Coated World

More evidence of that attitudinal problem I just mentioned

First, read my last entry.

Now get a load of the last paragraph from this story. I'd expect to hear that from the silver medalist in women's figure skating -- not from a senior wide receiver on what is supposed to be a fearsome college football team. This is the kind of stuff that Bob Stoops would never stand for. This stuff starts from the top down. A coach sets the tone. This is that attitude stuff I was talking about.

The good news is that Vincent Young now has the starting job. In a few years, he might become what Simms was supposed to be. If the Horns can keep getting some decent recruits -- in spite of the humiliation they've earned through 50-plus-point blowouts and the subsequent wallowing and tear-shedding on ESPN.com -- then maybe this program has a chance.
